 If you have a medical condition that isn’t shown you should still check with us before booking.

Please note also that if you have mobility problems, the Spa’s treatment rooms are up a flight of stairs and there is no lift in the Arcade.

TOTAL CONTRAINDICATIONS (treatment should not be performed at all)

  • Fever
  • Contagious diseases
  • Under influence of drugs, alcohol or prescription pain medication
  • Recent operations or acute injuries
  • Neuritis
  • Skin diseases
  • Pregnancy (first trimester)

LOCAL CONTRAINDICATIONS (treatment can be performed but needs to be adapted)

  • Varicose veins
  • Undiagnosed lumps or bumps
  • Pregnancy (2nd & 3rd trimester if not high risk)
  • Bruising
  • Cuts
  • Abrasions
  • Sunburn
  • Inflammation
  • Undiagnosed severe pain
  • Psoriasis
  • Eczema
  • Ruptured muscle
  • Allergy to products being used

MEDICAL CONTRAINDICATIONS (treatment can be carried out only once written medical permission is provided)

  • Cardio-vascular conditions (thrombosis, phlebitis, hypertension, heart conditions)
  • Any condition already being treated by a medical practitioner
  • Osteoporosis
  • Cancer
  • Heart problems, angina, those with pacemakers
  • Nervous or psychotic disorders
  • Epilepsy
  • Diabetes
  • Bell’s Palsy
  • Gynecological infections
  • Oedema
  • Pregnancy (if high risk or other complications)
